Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Complete cardiac care incorporates a comprehensive program for recovery and rehabilitation. Holy Cross Hospital features a multi-disciplinary approach in its outpatient Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program. The program includes an individualized, monitored exercise program, educational seminars and one-on-one instruction. Our program is carefully monitored by an experienced cardiac care team that includes critical care registered nurses, exercise physiologists and respiratory therapists. Various educators such as registered dieticians, pharmacists and physicians are also critical parts of our team. Cardiac rehabilitation is recognized by most insurance carriers, and coverage is available.

Our research shows that cardiac rehab programs help improve the health and life expectancy of people with heart conditions. If you or a loved one has experienced a heart procedure, ask your physician for a referral to our Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program. It could help to save a life. Here at Holy Cross Hospital, we are in the business of mending hearts! For more information, call (954) 229-7960. Physician referral is required to enter the Cardiac Rehabilitation program. The referring physician's office can verify insurance coverage.

Restoring Health & Confidence

The Cardiac Rehabilitation program is recommended for patients recovering from all aspects of heart problems such as angina, coronary angioplasty, cardiac transplantation, coronary bypass surgery, heart attack, irregular heartbeat, pacemaker implantation and valvular heart disease. It is also open to those who are at high risk of developing heart disease. Integrating exercise with education, the Cardiac Rehabilitation program can help you achieve a number of goals.
