Your Safety
In March 2002, The Joint Commission, together with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, launched a national campaign to urge patients to take a role in preventing health care errors by becoming active, involved and informed participants on the health care team.
Here at Holy Cross Hospital, we put the patient into our Patient Safety program. We encourage you to Speak Up for yourself or your loved one. If you have a question, or are concerned as to why a test is needed, Speak up! If a medication order is causing you concern or you did not observe a caregiver washing hands before caring for you, bring this to our attention.
The Joint Commission developed the following one minute videos as part of its Speak Up campaign. Enjoy watching them and be sure to Speak Up for your safety.
Speak Up: Reduce the Risk of Falling
