The Holy Cross Development Office works with all our donors to further the healing ministry of Holy Cross Health. Our goal is to continually upgrade and improve our healthcare services by buying new technologies, upgrading facilities and making sure health care is available to everyone.
Holy Cross Health's Department for Development raises funds through various outlets such as annual appeal campaigns, major gift donations, planned gifts, grants and special events. Here are some of our donors who are making significant impacts on our mission.
With the ongoing generous support of the Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation, Holy Cross Health has opened the Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Diagnostic Imaging Center and Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women's Center. The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation supports various Holy Cross endeavors including donating towards the creation of the Holy Cross Health COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic and renovations and upgrades to the hospital. The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation also hosts a yearly invite-only golf tournament to raise funds for the Partners in Breast Health program.
The Jim Moran Foundation was instrumental in funding for the Jim Moran Heart and Vascular Center, Vaccination Center and other significant endeavors of the Holy Cross Health hospital. The Jim Moran Foundation is also a generous donor to Holy Cross Health services including the Sister Catherine McAuley Fund.
With the foundation’s most recent grant, Holy Cross Health will establish the Holy Cross Family Health Center to improve the quality of life for underserved youth, individuals and families in Broward County.
The Holy Cross Family Health Center will be the preeminent provider of education, prevention, early intervention, wrap-a-round social and behavioral health services, OB/GYN access and treatment of primary care and infectious disease services through innovative approaches in a caring, compassionate environment.
The Salah Foundation has helped to foster the mission of Holy Cross Health through helping to fill needs at the Hospital. Through the support of the Salah Foundation, Holy Cross was able to purchase N-95 masks to accommodate critical hospital needs, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Salah Foundation’s gifts have supported the construction of The Salah Foundation Congestive Heart Failure Suite with a goal to reduce hospitalizations and improve heart failure patient care by providing intensive personalized therapy, and by developing individual programs that educate patients about heart failure, optimizing chronic medications and help patients manage their disease.

The Leandro P. Rizzuto Foundation is a newer donor to Holy Cross but has already contributed greatly. The Leandro P. Rizzuto Foundation’s most recent donation was designated toward the COVID-19 Response Fund and for the renovation of the Cardiovascular Suite at Holy Cross Health.
In 2021, Mr. Herb Yardley, of Massey-Yardley, funded the Catherine Yardley Comprehensive Pulmonary Center, in memory of his late wife, Catherine Yardley. The partnership will launch a pilot program designed for individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and related lung conditions who are hospitalized for exacerbations (flare ups). The program aims to assist patients in the post-acute phase and support their self-management at home.
Ms. Barbara Wells, President and the BOT of the Lillian S. Wells Foundation, and their generous gifts have supported the renovation and expansion of the Holy Cross HealthPlex ground floor outpatient physical therapy facility, now known as the Lillian S. Wells Foundation Institute of Sports Performance and Orthopedic Therapy (iSPORT).
