Holy Cross Health Receives $5 Million Planned Gift to Heart & Vascular Care
July 17, 2025
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (July 21, 2025) – Holy Cross Health has been blessed to receive one of the single largest planned gifts in its 70-year history, a transformative contribution that will benefit the hospital and patients now and in the future. Philanthropists and grateful patients, Charles “Chuck” and Jacqueline “Jackie” Frasier, have named Holy Cross Health in their estate plans, committing nearly $5 million to heart and vascular care.
“Chuck and Jackie chose to include Holy Cross Health in their estate plan as a way to honor the exceptional high-quality care they experienced at the hospital,” said Laura Denoux, vice president and chief development officer at Holy Cross Health. “The Frasiers’ extraordinary planned gift reflects their belief in the mission of Holy Cross Health and a heartfelt desire to make a meaningful, lasting impact. Inspired by the compassionate care they received from their clinical teams, their generosity will help shape the future of our health system and extend healing to patients and families for generations to come.”
The Fort Lauderdale, Florida couple is known for their dedication as philanthropists and community leaders with a passion for education, innovation and service. Chuck, a proud Michigan State University alumnus and retired packaging industry entrepreneur, built a successful 50-year career founding and leading companies focused on engineering and logistics. Together with Jackie, they have championed causes that reflect their shared commitment to excellence, sustainability and giving back by supporting initiatives that create lasting impact in their local community and beyond.
Earlier this year, the couple also demonstrated their commitment with a generous $250,000 multi-year pledge further strengthening heart and vascular care at Holy Cross.
“Holy Cross Health is a special place with special people where we have always felt cared for and supported,” Chuck said. “Dr. Llanos, Dr. Anand and the entire cardiovascular team saved my life. My wife and I are forever grateful and knew we had to give back in a meaningful way.”
The couple has trusted Holy Cross Health’s physicians and clinical teams for many years, for everything from routine care to lifesaving interventions, including a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). During their visits, they were inspired by the names of other generous donors displayed throughout the hospital. Now, their own names will join those donors who once inspired them with recognition on the main Philanthropy Gallery donor wall, as well as on the third floor of the Jim Moran Heart and Vascular Center.
“We’re very grateful to the Frasier family for this transformative gift to support the heart center of the future,” Holy Cross Health interventional cardiologist Alexander Llanos, M.D. and cardiac electrophysiologist Rishi Anand, M.D. said in a joint statement.
