I met Dr. Manalac a few months ago upon my initial visit regarding my current knee issues. During this visit and subsequent appointments, I was able to explain to Dr. Manalac how after retiring in 2018 I lost my health and dental coverages provided from my company. Obviously my monthly income substantially decreased only now having social security to live on. I finally contacted the government health care site and secured my current health coverage. Holy Cross Medical Group took care of my health care needs for years before my retirement, so it was a no brainer on who I wanted to serve as my health professionals moving forward into the future. On my of my first conversations with a staff member at Dr. Manalacs office I expressed my concern of some procedures or tests I might need and if I would be able to afford those not covered by my insurance. This young lady informed me of financial assistance that might be an option for me to look into. I never used this sort of assistance before my retirement, so it had never occurred to me as an option. So I reached out to Trinity Health for help, and from the time I talked to a concierge on the first phone call until know, I have received top notch customer service and professionalism in helping me through undoubtedly the most difficult year in my life. Along with Dr. Manalac and his staff everyone has worked with me to not only approve my financial assistance, but to pull together as a team to ensure my medical concerns were addressed before this assistance expired. I can never express my gratitude to all involved for pulling together and treating me like I was the only patient in the world. You guys saved my life! Because of your generosity I was able to address my health concerns and more importantly get back to a routine of tests and procedures that are much needed especially at my age. I really enjoy the portal system which helped me stay in contact with Muriel and other staff members. In closing, the services you guys provide on a daily basis might go unrecognized many times, but let me be the first to say I am in a much better mental state of mind knowing someone cared enough to get me the help I needed. I will always be grateful to Holy Cross and Trinity Health for your kindness and compassion. God bless you all.
