Holy Cross Health Earns 4-Star Rating From Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

Highest star rating received by a North Broward hospital

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (August 9, 2023) – In the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services recently updated Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings for 2023, Holy Cross Health was awarded four out of five stars, one of only two hospitals in Broward County and the only hospital in North Broward to receive this high rating. No hospitals in South Florida exceeded four stars.

“Our compassionate, dedicated team consistently provides the highest level of care to our patients,” said Mark Doyle, president and CEO of Holy Cross Health. “This rating reflects our singular focus on the health, safety and care of our patients.”

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services annually rate hospitals nationwide based on how they perform in five categories, which are called measure groups. The categories are mortality, safety of care, readmissions, patient experience and timely and effective care.
