 Holy Cross Hospital is the first community hospital in the nation to participate in the National Cancer Institute's Partnerships in Science Program. This partnership improves access to federal clinical trials and experimental treatments, in such areas as colon cancer, bone cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer and many others. This partnership facilitates real time interactions between other NCI recognized cancer centers through a Telesynergy Medical Workstation.
 The Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center is first hospital the world to participate in Intramural NCI Phase II Clinical Trials. Our highly skilled physicians receive multidisciplinary support from nurses, dietitians, social service counselors and the pastoral care team. Coupled with our capabilities in Nuclear Medicine, our diagnostic and therapeutic options for cancer treatment are the most comprehensive in the Southeast.
