MEDICAL GRAND ROUNDS

Target Audience: Holy Cross Health physicians 

Through lectures, medical grand rounds seek to promote excellence and quality in clinical care. Grand rounds are an important teaching tool in helping physicians, residents, students and other healthcare professionals be introduced to the latest advances in medical care and provide updates that affect the practice of medicine.

 

MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM MEETINGS (MDT) 

Target Audience: Holy Cross Health physicians 

Multidisciplinary Team meetings (MDTs) are required for Holy Cross Health's certification as a Breast Center, as well as a national standard for all institutions that care for patients with various types of cancer. Due to the dynamic evolution in the basic science, detection and treatment of caner, a regularly scheduled series is designed to maintain and improve physician knowledge, competence and performance. 

Presentation Methods: Case presentations with best practice methods/panel discussions, journal article review, and x-ray and chart reviews.

 

ANNUAL CARDIOVASCULAR SYMPOSIUM 

Target Audience: Holy Cross Health physicians, community physicians and other healthcare providers 

The goal of this symposium, presented together with Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Heart, Vascular and Stroke Care, is to update healthcare professionals each year on new and emerging approaches to the diagnosis, management and treatment of various forms of cardiovascular disease.

 

ANNUAL WINTER ONCOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

ORTHOPEDIC SYMPOSIUM

This symposium provides a comprehensive update on the latest advances of hip and knee replacements and revisions, debates the value of new technology and integration within the new paradigm of health care delivery and present advanced recovery and pain protocols. 

 

SOUTH FLORIDA NEUROSCIENCE SYMPOSIUM

The 2nd Annual South Florida Neurosciences Symposium is presented by the Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute at Holy Cross Health in partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital.

This symposium is a 2 day educational and networking forum designed for physicians, nurses, advanced practitioners, pharmacists, allied health professionals, researchers, and students with a focus on the emerging science of genetic therapies and the evaluation, management, and treatment of Alzheimer's Disease, ALS, brain tumors and metastases, and stroke.
