FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Holy Cross Hospital President and CEO Patrick Taylor, M.D. announced today the addition of Dr. Alexander Justicz to the Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 160 physicians providing services throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties.
“I am pleased to welcome Dr. Justicz back to Holy Cross Hospital” said Dr. Taylor. “Dr. Justicz originally came to Holy Cross in 2010 from Atlanta and stayed with us for two years before returning to Georgia to open the new Strickland Heart Center at the Gwinnett Medical Center. We look forward to having him back on staff starting March 3."
Dr. Justicz specializes in heart surgery, valve repair and thoracic surgery. He will be practicing at the Jim Moran Heart and Vascular Center at Holy Cross Hospital, located at 4725 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.
Certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery in thoracic and cardiac surgery, Dr. Justicz is a sought-after speaker who has presented before the Scientific Sessions of the American Heart Association, the Annual Scientific Assembly of American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He also has been published in numerous medical journals, including the American Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery, American Heart Journal, Journal of Vascular Surgery, and the American Journal of Cardiovascular Pathology, among others.
Previously, Dr. Justicz was in private practice with Peachtree Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeons in Atlanta and served as Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Piedmont Hospital and Northeast Georgia Medical Center. After earning his undergraduate degree from Harvard, Dr. Justicz graduated from the Emory School of Medicine where he served as chief resident of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals.
