Holy Cross Hospital Michael and Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center has achieved the highest enrollment in the country in two Phase I cancer clinical trials. Both IMGN 901 and Abbott M10-338 clinical trials are for patients with Advanced Solid Tumors.
Phase I cancer trials are the most complex of clinical trials and are primarily designed to evaluate a drug’s safety. These studies are sometimes called First in Human studies, because it is usually the first time the study drug is tested in humans.
This achievement further demonstrates that Holy Cross has the capabilities to run Phase I cancer trials with seasoned physicians, research nurses and expertise in clinical laboratory, imaging and pharmacology.
