Dr. Jessica Burgers is a Board Certified General Surgeon and Fellowship trained Breast Surgeon.

She received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame and medical doctorate cum laude from The Ohio State University. She completed her general surgery residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital and earned the resident research award two consecutive years.  She completed her Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship at the University of Southern California focusing on caring for patients with benign and malignant breast disease.

Dr. Burgers is at the forefront of the latest developments in breast surgery. During her time in California, she trained with Dr Melvin Silverstein, one of the pioneers of oncoplastic breast surgery. Oncoplastic breast surgery  combined cancer surgery principles with plastic surgery principles. With this technique, patients can look forward to being cancer free while also having aesthetically pleasing results following recovery.

She works closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop customized treatment plans based on their specific cancer type, stage, and prognosis.

Her office is located at the Bienes Cancer Center at Holy Cross Hospital. She sees patient with benign (non-cancerous) breast conditions at this location as well.
