FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Holy Cross Hospital announced that orthopedic surgeon Kathryn Heim, M.D., has joined the Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 160 physicians providing services throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Dr. Heim joins the Holy Cross Medical Group from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she completed a fellowship in the surgical treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions. Her focus areas include carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, and broken bones in the hands and wrists.

She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Prior to her fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Heim completed a residency program in orthopedics at the JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas, and a research fellowship at the department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. She received her medical degree from the University of Louisville and her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Heim’s offices are located in Lighthouse Point and west Boca Raton, where the Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute offers an onsite outpatient physical therapy clinic. Dr. Heim can be reached at 954-942-0321.
