Catholic Health Association and the Health Care and You Coalition
Catholic Health Association (CHA) is pleased to announce a new resource to help inform patients and communities about benefits of the Affordable Care Act. This new resource complements the other health reform information and resources that CHA creates and updates for the ministry.
Health reform is often in the news, but many people aren't sure how the law affects them. That's why CHA recently joined with other leading national organizations to form the Health Care and You Coalition. Bringing together groups that represent consumers, patients, physicians, nurses, hospitals and pharmacists, the coalition's goal is to provide easy-to-understand information about the health care law to help individuals and families understand what it means for them.
Members of the coalition are AARP, the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, American Nurses Association, National Community Pharmacists Association and CHA.
Visit the coalition's new website at www.HealthCareAndYou.org. The website features information on the law in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, an interactive timeline of when different parts of the law take effect and current health coverage options for people in various situations.
In the months and years ahead, HealthCareAndYou.org will continue to provide an up-to-date resource on the health care law. In the meantime, visit the following website for additional health reform resources: www.chausa.org/healthreform.
