Class Descriptions
Beginner Step Clinic - For those of you who want some guidance and extra practice on the step moves and terminology, this clinic was designed especially for you. (1 hr.)
Cardio & Sculpt - A choreographed low impact workout ending with body sculpting and abdominal work. (1 hr.)
Cardio Interval - Take strong powerful step movements, add a little high-low, and then add specific isolated resistance movements to achieve a spectacular total body workout. (1 ½ hr.)
Deep Definition - This class offers the benefits of strength training in a group exercise class. Using hand weights, therabands and body weight for overload, we will use high intensity training techniques. If you want muscle definition, this class is for you. (1 hr.)
Exercise Physiologist Lecture Varies from month to month. (1 hr.)
Functional Stretch - Start at ANY level and improve your flexibility, strength, balance and coordination. Free weights, therabands, and your own body weight will be used as resistance to strengthen and tone your abdominals and lower back. (¾ hr.)
Get on the Ball - Want some resistance training? Think creative…think strong…think sleek. Using the stability ball, weights and therabands, this class has an endless array of sculpting drills. (Goodness gracious…great balls of FUN). (1 hr.)
Line Dance Class - Put your dance shoes on and have some toe tapping fun with Golda Levitan. The cost is $30.00 for all 6 sessions. Sign up at the front desk. (1 hr.)
Power Sculpt - For those looking for an extra challenge and want to see great changes in your body, this class is a must. By using hand weights, you will build strength and muscular endurance and it will be a powerful Total Body Conditioning class that will push you to the next level. (1 hr.)
Registered Dietician Lecture on 1/21 - Lecture topic for this month is "Common Eating Problems and Behavior Modifications for the New Year" presented by Wendy Petusevsky, RD, LD/N, CDE. Wendy will teach you how keeping a food record can benefit your health. (1 hr.)
Reiki Healing and Meditation Techniques - A 6-week introduction to Reiki… The ancient art and science of touch healing and meditation, presented by Sheila Kushner, a certified Reiki Master. The cost is $40.00 for all 6 sessions. Sign up at the front desk. (2 hr.)
Sculpt & Stretch - Abdominal and lower back exercises plus stretches for your entire body to improve your flexibility, strength, balance and coordination. (1 hr.)
Sports Core - This class will teach methods and techniques that improve abdominal and back strength. Proper exercise position, step-by-step progressions and accurate safety cues are presented in a challenging and easily adaptable format. (½ hr.)
Step On It - This step class is basic enough for the uncoordinated to follow along and modifications will be suggested for the more advanced level. (½ hr.)
Step Sensation - Move beyond the monotony. Add fun and flare to your personal step style. We will use patterns to create a sensational - heart pumping workout. Abdominals will be done the last part of class. (1 hr.)
Stretch - Start at ANY level and improve your flexibility, strength, balance and coordination. (½ hr.)
Sunrise/Sunset Spinning® - This high intensity, indoor cycling workout is designed to challenge the most experienced, but can be modified even for the beginner. This class is full of power packed intervals, aggressive climbs, and drills to push you to your endurance edge! Please bring water and a towel. (1 hr.)
Total Body Conditioning - Sculpt, stretch, cycle, kick, and tone your body all in one hour. This class is slow enough for beginners and tough enough for the advanced. Modified for all levels without wasting a minute's time. (1 hr.)
Yoga For Endurance - Discover how to build stamina, strength and flexibility through the power of yoga, utilizing time proven techniques of movement and breathing coordination. (1½ hr)
Yoga Lite - This class is for people who want to build strength and flexibility and improve range of motion while taking things lite and slow. (1 hr.)
