Two Physicians Join Holy Cross Medical Group

Drs. Rebecca Rey and Robert Ansara

Holy Cross Hospital President and CEO Patrick A. Taylor, M.D. announced that Drs. Robert Ansara and Rebecca Rey have joined the Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 160 physicians providing services throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Robert Ansara, M.D.
Dr. Robert Ansara joined the Holy Cross Medical Group from private practice with the Pompano Beach-based Family Physicians of South Florida group. Conversant in Spanish, he has been practicing medicine for 10 years and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Ansara completed a residency in family medicine at Florida Hospital in Orlando and internship in general surgery at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, New York. At Florida Hospital, he served as the residency recruiting chairperson for the family medicine program. Dr. Ansara received his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico, completed the Fifth Pathway Program at New York Medical College, and received his bachelor's degree in microbiology and cell science at the University of Florida.

Rebecca Rey, M.D.
Dr. Rebecca Rey also joined the Holy Cross Medical Group from the Pompano Beach-based Family Physicians of South Florida group, where she was a physician and a partner. A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association, Rey is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and also certified in administering Botox/Dysport and dermal fillers. Fluent in Spanish, she completed her residency in family medicine at Florida Hospital, where she served as chief resident and co-chairperson of the Florida Hospital Primary Care Update Committee. Dr. Rey received medical degrees from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica and the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico. She received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University in North Carolina.
