Holy Cross Hospital offers a variety of educational programs for physicians and medical professionals. They are designed to enrich and broaden your knowledge as well keep you up to date on the latest changes in the ever changing medical field.
Cancer Conferences
The first Thursday of every month in the Sister Innocent Conference Center, Room A at noon.
Thoracic Conference
Every Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Cancer Center Conference Room.
Head and Neck Conference
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at noon in the Cancer Center Conference Room.
GI/GU/GYN Conference
Every of the month at noon in the Cancer Center Conference Room.
Breast Conference
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at noon in the Cancer Center Conference Room.
Holy Cross Learning Center
The Learning Center at Holy Cross Hospital is equipped with six Internet accessible computers and ample desk space for studying. The Center is used for distance and computer-based learning as well as traditional classroom instruction.
Through the Moran partnerships of both Holy Cross Hospital and Nova Southeastern University, the Learning Center computers are linked with those at the NSU Library, Research and Information Technology Center. Holy Cross Associates have access to the public data.bases, allowing Associates to conduct research and seek out health information. In addition, Holy Cross Associates are invited to visit the NSU Library and gain access to any of their books, journals, and on-site only databases. Library books may be returned to NSU or any Broward County Library as long as they are not overdue.
The Library, Research and Information Technology Center at Nova Southeastern University is a $42 million dollar building that resulted of a partnership between the Broward County Board of County Commissioners and private donors. The library offers print literature (books, journals, magazines, and newspapers), a popular and children's section and literally hundreds of computer terminals that provide access to more than 100 databases.
In order to take advantage of this marvelous opportunity, a NSU library card needs to be issued. Library card applications may be obtained from the Learning Center at Holy Cross Hospital.
