Spine
Almost 80 percent of Americans experience back problems at some point in their lives. Back pain is one of the most common reasons for physician visits each year. Our medical group is comprised of specialists dedicated to helping patients with conditions affecting the cervical (neck), thoracic (upper back), or lumbar (lower back) spine.
The spine is the main supporting structure for the human body and it protects the spinal cord, the neural conduit between the brain and the body's motor and sensory system. The spine must not only protect the nerves and spinal cord; it must also allow for movement and flexibility.
While uncomfortable, back problems are rarely serious. Most back pain is caused by an injury or inflammation of the discs, muscles or nerves in the spinal column. But back pain should never be ignored as it may also occur because of more serious disorders, such as kidney problems, tumors or heart disease.
Our medical group uses innovative techniques and treatment modalities that eliminate or reduce operating time, improve clinical outcomes, and accelerate mobility.
