Holy Cross Hospital Names 2009-2010 Associate of the Year
Sunrise Resdient Queen Stevens Receives Honor
As a nutrition hostess in Nutritional Services at Holy Cross Hospital, Sunrise resident Queen Stevens interacts with patients, their families, physicians, nurses and volunteers on a daily basis, always greeting them with a smile and a positive attitude.
It is her hospitable spirit that was recognized when Stevens was named the 2009-2010 Associate of the Year for Holy Cross Hospital.
An associate of Holy Cross for more than 13 years, Stevens received the top honor during the recent Annual Service Awards ceremony, where associates are recognized for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service.
"Queen is one of our model associates who goes above and beyond the call of duty every day,” said Holy Cross CEO and President Patrick Taylor, M.D. "She exemplifies the core values of Holy Cross and we are proud to have her on our team.”
Stevens is part of the Holy Cross nutritional services department that optimizes nutrition to each patient by recommending and offering a variety of well-tolerated foods and educates both patients and their families about changing nutritional needs during a patient's course of treatment.
