We accept the Gospel challenge that prompted Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, to respond to the needy of her time.
We commit ourselves to enhancing the quality of life throughout the life cycle by promoting and restoring health, alleviating suffering, and caring for the sick and dying in an environment that ensures dignity and respect for each person.
We pledge ourselves to leadership in health education, and to the search for new ways of meeting the health needs of the community, especially the poor and the elderly.
